Shop Stewards Training

TWU Local 200

To better serve our membership, a shop steward training was held on February 12, 2009 at 1:30 pm at the TWU Local 200 union office.  The training was held by 2nd Vice President Andre’ Andrews.  Andre is also the first step grievance officer.

The shop stewards present at the training were Jonathan Smith, Maribel Tejada, Candace Wilcher, Reginald Kennedy, and Salvador Garnica.

At this training, Andre’ talked about the importance of steward commitment, credibility and responsibility.  He also talked about the importance of knowing your contract and sticking to it. 

There will be a follow up training for this in a few weeks.
